2. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ front seven is lethal

It has not yet been made official (at the time of writing this) but Tyrod Taylor is expected to miss Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well. Once he is healthy, no matter what Justin Herbert does, Taylor is likely going to be the starting quarterback.

This game might make Anthony Lynn’s decision easier as Justin Herbert is coming up against one of, if not the, best front sevens in football. This front seven is going to turn this game into a massive headache for Herbert, who was getting pressured at an insane rate in Week 3 against Carolina.

The Panthers do not have a prolific pass rush. In fact, they more than doubled their number of pressures from the first two weeks in Week 3 alone. Herbert is in trouble against the Bucs, especially if Bryan Bulaga and/or Trai Turner are out again.

Even if JPP is hurt the Bucs still have Vita Vea, Ndamukong Suh and William Gholston to lead the way at the line of scrimmage. They also have stellar linebackers in Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David and Devin White. They have a fantastic run defense and can get to the quarterback, especially against a subpar offensive line.

And news flash: the Chargers’ offensive line is subpar. If the same offensive line shows up in Week 4 that showed up in Week 3 then Justin Herbert is in a lot of trouble and the offense will struggle as a result.
