LA Chargers vs. Carolina Panthers prediction

This is a game that the LA Chargers should definitely win. Without Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers will have a lot of touches to divide between the rest of the offense. The Panthers do have talented playmakers like Moore and Anderson, but the Chargers defense has been incredible to start this season.

They brought the Chiefs to overtime where they lost by a field goal while only giving up 23 points. They also held Joe Burrow and the Bengals to 13 points in the season opener.

With Tyrod Taylor likely being out for a few weeks, Justin Herbert will be making his second career start in SoFi Stadium. While he still has some things to work on like velocity, ball placement and decision making, Herbert was very impressive in his debut. The offense looked much better and more energized against the Chiefs than they did in their meeting with the Bengals.

Herbert only found out he would be starting a few minutes before kickoff. Now with a week of working in practice as the team’s starter and the fact that the Panther’s defense has not been very good to start the year, Herbert has another chance to prove he deserves to be the full-time starter going forward.

This new-look Panthers team has struggled to start the 2020 season. Without their All-Pro running back, Christian McCaffrey, the Chargers have a great opportunity to come away with a win and momentum heading into their Week 4 matchup with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.
