The LA Chargers are due for some breakout performances in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

For the second year in a row, the LA Chargers opened their season with a win, this year being a 16-13 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Unlike last year, however, the team is looking to move their record to 2-0 for the first time since 2012.

The challenge is going to be much tougher than it was last year — the Detroit Lions — as the Chargers as tasked with hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in the team’s first-ever game at the brand-new SoFi Stadium.

The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl Champions and the best team in the NFL for a reason. While the Chargers have had past success in limiting the Chiefs’ offense, they still are facing an extreme uphill battle, especially if the same offense shows up in Week 2 that showed up in Week 1.

There were some notable standouts from Week 1’s game. Joshua Kelley made a huge statement and made history in the process. Jerry Tillery had a really promising first game in his sophomore year. Hunter Henry seemed to already develop a rapport with Tyrod Taylor.

There will be breakout stars for the Chargers in Week 2 as well, even if the team cannot come out victorious. Here are three Charger players that are due for a big game in Week 2.
