LA Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Week 2 prediction

After a close game in Week 1 against the Bengals, the LA Chargers have a tough task ahead of them. The defending Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs are coming to face the Chargers in their first game in SoFi Stadium.

The Chiefs dominated the Texans in their Week One game. The addition of Clyde Edwards-Helaire made their offense even more versatile. The Chargers have their work cut out for them, but if their defense can produce like they did this past week this could be a low scoring game.

The Chargers offense did not do much in their Week One win against the Bengals and struggled for most of the game. However, one turnover would likely have lost the Chargers that game and Tyrod Taylor did what he normally does, not turn the ball over.

While the Chargers defense may win them games against a team like the Bengals, it will not against the Chiefs. Mahomes and company will put points on the board regardless of how good this Chargers defense is. What this game will come down to is the Chargers’ ability to score touchdowns.

Seeing how this offense struggled against the Bengals defense, it might be safe to say that the Chargers will lose this game as they are 8.5 point underdogs heading into this matchup.

After watching both of their Week 1 games, this Chiefs team will be too much for the Chargers. Their pass rush had Watson running for his life and with how poorly we have seen members of this offensive line play in the past, Taylor could be in for a long day.

The Chiefs’ offense is explosive and has too many weapons to slow them down, which includes Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill. If the Chargers offense continues to perform like they did last week, we could see a quarterback change in the upcoming weeks.

Next. Is it already Justin Herbert time?

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 31, LA Chargers 20
