1. Joey Bosa

  • Highest ranking: First
  • Lowest ranking: First

Joey Bosa ranked first in every single top 10 ranking by the Bolt Beat staff and it is not hard to see why. The player that just got record-setting guaranteed money is absolutely the most talented player on the LA Chargers and after this season might be in the conversation for the most talented defensive player in the league.

What Bosa has already done in his career thus far is great and it still feels like he has not even come close to scratching the surface of his ceiling. Bosa has 40 sacks in four seasons, including a season in which he only played 12 games and another year where he played seven.

When he plays a full 16-game season he is good for around a dozen sacks, which in upon itself is impressive but is more impressive considering he is still only 25 years old.

Bosa is getting right into his prime years at the ripe age of 25 and I really like his chances of having a career season that puts him in the running for the defensive player of the year. I genuinely do think that Bosa has a 16-sack season in him in 2020 and as long as he stays healthy that is what the Chargers are going to get.

Next. Why the playoffs are out of reach in 2020

Allen is the face of the offense and Bosa is the face of the defense. Derwin James would be up here with Bosa as well if it was not for his season-ending meniscus injury. Because of that, we kept him off the list.
