The LA Chargers’ final roster is complete, including some surprise decisions.

Let this sink in. At the time of writing this, it is the last Sunday without football for the next five months. We made it. We are a week away from the LA Chargers being back in action in Week 1 against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

It still might not feel real considering that there has not been any preseason games in the NFL this season. Pinch yourself, we promise you are not dreaming. Football is back.

The biggest indication of that is the roster cuts that all 32 NFL teams were tasked with completing on Saturday. When the dust settled, the LA Chargers cut a grand total of 26 players to trim their roster down to 53 guys.

Most of the cuts were the undrafted free agents. It was well documented all during camp that the UDFA were the guys that were getting the short end of the stick. They did not get the chance to thrive in preseason games and earn a roster spot, much like Austin Ekeler did.

However, there still were some surprise cuts that we were not expecting. It is an evolving situation, as some of the players will be signed to the practice squad and could make the active roster later in the season.

Here are the three roster cuts that were the most surprising in hindsight.
