LA Chargers: 3 reasons why the playoffs are out of reach in 2020
By Jason Reed
The LA Chargers will miss the NFL Playoffs for the second year in a row.
I hate to say it but I do not like the odds of the LA Chargers making the NFL Playoffs in 2020. Yes, the NFL expanded to a seven-team playoff format as part of the new collective bargaining agreement but an extra playoff spot still won’t be enough for the Bolts.
This is not a crazy thing to say when we consider how the rest of the league views the Chargers. It became quite clear in our consensus power ranking examination yesterday that pundits around the league do not even view the Chargers as a top 20 team.
For Charger fans, this might seem like a bit of a surprise to see from your (hopefully) favorite Chargers site. We love looking at the glass half-full, but when it comes to the 2020 Chargers, there are more reasons to look at the glass half-empty.
This does not mean that the Chargers won’t be in the playoff race down the stretch and that it will be another disaster season like last year. And I really do hope that the team proves me wrong.
We asked our followers on Twitter yesterday to give us one controversial opinion about the Chargers.
Say something controversial about the Chargers.
