2. Tre’Davious White and Tremaine Edmunds, Buffalo Bills

Again, if Derwin James would have played a full season last season and would have had another Pro Bowl year then I absolutely would have put the LA Chargers ahead of the Buffalo Bills on this list. Would they have been first? It would have been close, but because of James’ 2019, the Bills come in at number two.

This is a duo that is probably the most overlooked on this entire list. While football die-hards know just how good Tre’Davious White was last season, the casual fan might not realize the kind of breakout season that he had in 2019.

White led the league in interceptions with six and not only earned his first Pro Bowl nod but earned All-Pro honors as well. He defended another 17 passes and had one sack. The advanced metrics are not very favorable to White, as he has just a 75.6 grade on Pro Football Focus, but that is not the end-all say-all.

For comparison’s sake, Bosa had a 75.8 grade in 2018, nearly identical.

Tremaine Edmunds is also one of the best young linebackers in the league. He was really solid in his rookie season but was overlooked because of Leonard and James and then put together a really solid Pro Bowl season in 2019.

Quite frankly, you could order numbers 2-4 in any way you please and I probably would not argue it. The difference between the three duos is so minuscule that this duo could easily be fourth and the Colts could easily be second. Personally, I have Buffalo very narrowly above the LA Chargers.
