LA Chargers: Five most experienced players on the Chargers roster
By Jason Reed
LA Chargers’ most experienced players: 2. Chris Harris, 121 games started
Chris Harris was certainly the biggest name that the LA Chargers brought in during the offseason. The long-time Denver Broncos cornerback has made a huge name for himself as one of the best corners in the league and dominated for most of the decade.
In fact, Harris was selected to the NFL’s All-Decade team. Harris was a four-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro during the 2010s.
After being a rival of the Chargers for so long, Harris know finds himself on one of the most versatile defenses in the league that is going to allow him some creative freedom in coverages that will make the most out of his natural abilities even if he is on the wrong side of 30.
The idea right now is that Harris is going to spend most of his time in the slot corner, which is where he really got his start in the NFL and has been where he makes his money as well. If Michael Davis can lock down the other outside corner spot, the Chargers could have the best cornerback trio in the league with Harris in the slot.
Harris is tied for 79th in total games played in the NFL and has the 13th-most starts among all-active cornerbacks.
