LA Chargers 2020 opponent preview: Las Vegas Raiders
By Jason Reed
The LA Chargers need to have better results against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Last season was a painful one for the LA Chargers that saw the team disappoint and only win five games. Not only did the team have the worst setback of any team in the league in 2019 but they also went 0-6 against their AFC West foes.
Against the Kansas City Chiefs it is understandable, the Chiefs were the Super Bowl Champions. The Denver Broncos always give the Chargers a tough game and the Bolts did give away the second game against Denver. It sucks, but losing twice to the Broncos is not the worst thing in the world.
However, the most painful thing is that the Chargers lost to the Las Vegas Raiders twice. The Raiders were not a great team last season and have had one good season in the last 17 years. The Chargers should not ever lose twice to the Raiders in one season and they gave those games away.
Those two losses against the Raiders snapped a four-game win streak and now the Chargers have a lifetime 54-65-2 record against their division foes.
The Chargers host the Raiders in Week 9 and then head to Las Vegas in Week 15 as part of a three-game stretch of division foes to end the season.
As we have with every other opponent that the Chargers will play in 2020 (this is the last article of the series) here is our 2020 preview, including who the team added and lost in the offseason and how the Chargers can defeat the Raiders.
