The LA Chargers host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season.
The LA Chargers played the Jacksonville Jaguars last season and it was probably the most enjoyable part of the 2020 season. The year started great with an overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts but after that, there was not much left to cheer about.
Except for the team’s win over the Jaguars. The Chargers routed the Jaguars, 45-10, showing the NFL what the team could do if Philip Rivers wasn’t throwing interceptions like they were going out of style.
Granted, the Jaguars were far from a great team last season, but the Chargers did show that they were leaps and bounds better than the teams that had similar records as them (see: 30-10 victory over 5-11 Dolphins).
There is one exception to this (the team losing against the Detroit Lions) but we will choose to just not talk about that one right now.
The Jaguars look even worse off in the 2020 season as the team is one of the early favorites to finish with the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While they might be bad, they probably will at least be entertaining, as Minshew Mania will run wild once more.
As we have with the other opponents in the first seven weeks of the 2020 season, we bring you our early 2020 Jaguars preview, starting with the team’s key additions and subtractions and following it up with how the Chargers can beat the Jaguars.
