The LA Chargers take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 5.
The LA Chargers have their first primetime game of the 2020 season in Week 5 as they travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints on Monday Night Football. The biggest question heading into this game is very simple:
What jersey are the Chargers going to wear to showcase to the national audience? My early guess is the new navy color rush.
All joking aside, this is going to be a game that catches the intrigue of the nationwide audience as there is going to be a pretty big narrative that is pounded into the ground: this is going to be Drew Brees’ last game of his career against the team that drafted him.
It is also going to simply be a refreshing matchup as the Chargers and Saints don’t play each other often. It feels like we get the same matchups over and over on Monday Night Football and this will be refreshing, although the Saints always seem to play better on Monday night.
It is going to be a tough test for the Chargers are it is absolutely the toughest non-division game of the season, especially after playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road the week prior. As part of our opponent preview series, we break down the offseason additions and subtractions that the Saints made as well as how the Chargers can beat New Orleans.
