The LA Chargers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.
The LA Chargers season is quickly approaching and if everything goes as planned and we have football on schedule, the team will be taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 4 in what will probably be the biggest game of the afternoon slot.
Any other year and this matchup would have gotten overlooked by the general NFL fan. The Chargers and Bucs are traditionally two teams that do not get a lot of attention in the national media. One thing obviously changes that.
And that one thing is Tom Brady.
Tom Brady signed a two-year deal with the Bucs this offseason, ending his long-standing career with the New England Patriots as he looks to win Super Bowl number 7 in the Sunshine State.
The Chargers were reportedly in the running for Brady up until the very end. The Bolts were named as one of the two teams that were interested and could sign Brady and were not out of the running until the very end, where Brady reportedly told the Chargers that he wanted to stay out East for family considerations (h/t Bleacher Report).
Charger fans do not seem to mind at all, though. With that cap space, the team most notably brought in Bryan Bulaga, Linval Joseph and Chris Harris.

So this Week 4 matchup is going to be on most television screens in America as Brady takes on the team that nearly signed him, who also happens to have the prettiest uniforms in football (that is just a bonus).
Here is our opponent preview with the Bucs’ key additions and subtractions from the offseason as well as how the Chargers can beat Tampa Bay.
