The LA Chargers have ties to some potential fits on the free-agent market.
Things have slowed down for the LA Chargers and the NFL as a whole. We are well past the 2020 NFL Draft, have zoomed past the 2020 schedule release and with a unique offseason because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are at a bit of a quiet period for the NFL.
However, free agency is still ongoing and as one of the teams with cap space, the LA Chargers could absolutely still be looking at potential suitors on the roster. Once we get closer to training camp the Chargers will absolutely have a shortlist of players to call in case of emergency.
The free agent that every Charger fan has been waiting for the team to sign is Jason Peters. The veteran left tackle is still a free agent despite being one of the most talented free agents available and it is quite shocking that the Bolts have not found a way to agree to terms with him yet.
It seems as if the team has confidence in Trey Pipkins to start at left tackle, which is fine, but the tackle depth should be worrisome.
