LA Chargers: 5 players who absolutely can’t afford to get hurt

LA Chargers that cannot afford to get hurt: Bryan Bulaga
If the LA Chargers are going to have a better offensive line in 2020 then it is going to be because of Bryan Bulaga. He and Trai Turner represent two big upgrades to the right side of the offensive line and the team needs them to succeed to flip the script on the offensive line narrative.
There are already a lot of questions and concerns around the tackle position outside of Bulaga. While the team seems to be buying in on Trey Pipkins as the starting left tackle, there are some concerns as he still is green and would be protecting Tyrod Taylor’s blindside.
The depth behind Bulaga and Pipkins is not great, either. We have already seen how well Sam Tevi and Trent Scott look out there and if Bulaga were to get hurt then right tackle would be turned over to one of those two and the same issues that plagued the team before would come back.

It would not be so bad if Pipkins got hurt as the difference would not be massive. The same can be said for anyone on the interior; even right guard could be adequately filled if Turner got hurt.
Bulaga is the one guy on the offensive line that absolutely cannot get hurt and is the one guy that the Chargers are really banking on to help be a catalyst to turn this offensive line around.
