LA Chargers: Three players who will disappoint in 2020
By Jason Reed
The LA Chargers are coming off of a disappointing 2019 season and many Charger fans are hoping and expecting the team’s fortune to change in the 2020 season. Not only were the Chargers extremely unlucky and turned the ball over at the most inopportune moments, but they were arguably less talented last year than this year.
The front office has done a great job in adding talent to the roster, which on paper, is one of the deepest and most complete in the league. The offensive line was addressed with Trai Turner and Bryan Bulaga while Linval Joseph, Chris Harris and rookie Kenneth Murray headline the new additions to a defense that is stout.
Of course, we cannot expect too much out of the Chargers, as anything can happen. They still have to get past the Kansas City Chiefs before even considering winning the division and with the team’s injury luck and bad luck on the field, Charger fans have been groomed to expect the worst.
This year feels different, though, as the fans seem more optimistic than they have in recent years. Optimism is nice, but it can be blinding and because of it, there are naturally going to be players that disappoint based on their preseason expectations.
The LA Chargers have three players on the roster that are candidates to disappoint in 2020.
Now, this is not to say that they will have a bad season. They could still have a fairly decent season and have it be disappointing. This just means that these players likely will not play up to some of the fan expectations that have been placed on them.
Here are the three main candidates to potentially disappoint in 2020.
