The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone and the LA Chargers wound up taking six new faces in the draft. Now, we transition from mock draft season to analyze season as we break down the players the team brought in as well as the situation heading into the 2020 season.

Overall, the Chargers had an unexpected draft. The team traded back into the first round, double-dipped on wide receivers and passed on positions such as offensive tackle and cornerback. If anything, this shows the Chargers have faith at those positions.

Some picks were better than others and some picks were more valuable than others. With that in mind, we wanted to rank all six prospects that the Chargers selected in terms of their draft pick value, based on when they are selected.

Keep in mind: This is not a ranking of the best prospects that the LA Chargers drafted, just the most valuable for where they were drafted.

LA Chargers 2020 NFL Draft value rankings: 6. Alohi Gilman

Out of every pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Alohi Gilman was perhaps the most shocking as well as the most lackluster, as ironic as that sounds.

The selection was shocking as the team was not really expected to draft a safety in the draft and was lackluster as Gilman likely is not going to have a big role, if any, on the defense anytime soon.

However, Gilman is a bruiser with great character that flies up and down the field. He is going to be a valuable player in special teams and hopefully can soften the blow of losing Adrian Phillips in the special teams unit.

This is not necessarily a bad pick, but of any prospect this year, Gilman is undoubtedly going to have the smallest impact.
