With the NFL draft less than three weeks away, let’s take a look at a potential debate the LA Chargers are having in their office: Justin Herbert vs Jordan Love.

The LA Chargers are in a very good place in this draft. They addressed many of their needs in free agency, as I previously outlined in an article last month. However, they still are likely to address the quarterback position in this draft. While I do believe in what Tyrod Taylor can do with this roster, they do need a long-term solution at the position.

There’s been chatter recently suggesting that Tua Tagovailoa might be available for the taking after all — once the Chargers are on the clock at pick number six — though I still believe that the Miami Dolphins will take him with the fifth overall pick. He is the quarterback prospect with the highest ceiling in this class, in my opinion.

I would be absolutely thrilled if the Chargers were able to land Tagovailoa, but if they want to take a quarterback this year they are likely left debating between former Oregon Duck Justin Herbert and former Utah State Aggie Jordan Love. This is really quite an interesting debate, and analysts seem to be split on who they think the Chargers would take in this likely scenario.

This article will serve to compare and contrast the two prospects and ultimately I will give my opinion as to which of the two I personally would take.
