1. Cam Phillips, WR

The LA Chargers have one of the best receiver duos in the entire league but still have a hole in the depth chart at the position. While Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are great, the team’s depth at receiver behind Allen and Williams is questionable at best.

Luckily, the team has one of the best pass-catching running backs and tight ends in the league, which certainly make a hole at WR3 much less significant than it otherwise would be. However, the Chargers should still be inclined to add depth at the position, and part of that depth could be Cam Phillips.

Bringing just Phillips in to try and be the team’s third receiver would not be smart, however, he showcased in the XFL that he has a potentially high ceiling and in a weapon-potent offense like the Chargers, could become someone who thrives and puts up great numbers.

And at the very least, he would be a good depth receiver that could not only be an option in spread offenses but as a rotational receiver as well.

Phillips led the entire XFL in receiving before the year ended. He led in receptions (31), receiving yards (455) and touchdowns (9).

Phillips is not going to be someone who changes the offense drastically or even should be lining up one-on-one with NFL cornerbacks on the outside. As a third option in the slot, he would do just fine.
