The LA Chargers have been quite active in free agency and could continue that activity with a flier on a player from the XFL.

The LA Chargers have quietly made some of the best additions in free agency this offseason. While the general public is more enamored with the big signings, such as Tom Brady going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Chargers have made some really good moves that have gone under the radar.

The team has already filled in some holes that were expected to be filled in the 2020 NFL Draft. Tom Telesco did a wonderful job of rebuilding the right side of the offensive line and did it fairly quickly.

Telesco swung Russell Okung in a trade for Pro Bowl right guard Trai Turner and signed long-time Packers Bryan Bulaga. Telesco also replaced holes on the defensive side of the ball, signing defensive tackle Linval Joseph and cornerback Chris Harris Jr.

The Chargers might not be done making moves, either. While the team does not have an abundance of remaining cap space with the incoming draft pool, they do have enough to make one, if not two, signings.

Rough estimate, they have about $8-9 million *to spend* which factors in draft pick compensation and space for in-season moves

Some of those signings could come from the XFL. The first XFL season was officially canceled because of COVID-19 concerns and XFL players are now free to sign with NFL teams (h/t Bleacher Report).

The initial thought might be that the XFL is a subpar league to the NFL and that the XFL free agents have nothing to offer for the Chargers. However, there were some notable standouts in the few weeks of league action and it would not be terrible for the Chargers to take a flier on promising free agent.

With that in mind, here are three XFL free agents that would be worth a further look in free agency.
