The Los Angeles Chargers have several different directions the team can go in the 2020 NFL Draft, which could include picking some hometown prospects.

The Los Angeles Chargers have multiple needs that can be addressed in the 2020 NFL Draft. If the team does not sign a free agent quarterback prior to the draft then we know that will likely be the first-round pick. We also know that the team is going to look to improve the offensive line in the draft as well.

Outside of that, there are not many extremely pressing needs for the Los Angeles Chargers. We will have a clearer idea of which direction Tom Telesco and company will take by their free-agent activity, but now, we can only speculate on who might be the best fit for the team in certain rounds.

There are several lesser needs that Telesco is going to have to address, such as a third wide receiver, depth at defensive end, the secondary and a potential tight end to replace Hunter Henry. Those are just three of many directions that the team can go.

If the team wants to go local then there are four prospects from USC and UCLA that would actually be a good fit on the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers’ last hometown college pick was Uchenna Nwosu out of USC in the 2018 NFL Draft, so not too long ago.

If the Chargers want to go the hometown route again then here are four names that you should keep an eye on.
