Cincinnati Bengals
After finishing in last place in the AFC West, the Chargers will face the team that finished in last place in each of the other AFC divisions. One of those teams will be the Bengals.
This game is only intriguing because of who could be playing quarterback for the Bengals. It’s not like the Chargers and Bengals have some sort of major history with each other — save for a memorable playoff game — so the only thing that could make this game intriguing is Joe Burrow.
Of course, many things need to take place before that becomes a reality.
The Bengals will almost certainly use the No.1 overall pick on Burrow, but is there any chance that Burrow pulls an Eli Manning and refuses to go to Cincinnati? There are those out there that feel that he should.
If the Bengals do get Burrow, they will instantly become much more interesting. Coming off one of the best seasons we have ever seen in college football last year, Burrow was remarkable for the LSU Tigers en route to winning the Heisman Trophy and leading his team to the College Football National Championship.
Because of that performance, everyone is eager to see what he’ll do at the next level.
