Roster move conclusions

The Chargers have moves to make. They have plenty to be busy with during this upcoming offseason. Everyone knows they should look to acquire the quarterback of the future, find offensive linemen, get another wide receiver, but these are the moves they should make with players who were already on the team.

Figure out where the team stands, and from there figure out how to get it to where everyone is happy.

This team had very large goals heading into the season, and there is no reason whatsoever they cannot get back there. Will Tom Telesco be willing to cut ties with players who have meant a lot to the team over the past few years?

They did not bring back Antonio Gates, so it would not be a surprise. Will Telesco be willing to shell out the money needed to bring back key players or even extend them so they never hit the market? We will all have our answers soon enough, so we must wait and see.

The Chargers can no doubt get back to the Super Bowl hopefuls they were heading into the 2019 season. They need to make a few moves, but the core of this team on both sides of the ball is something special.

Build around it and get back to where they should be. One step at a time, one transaction at a time, let’s trust that it will get done and that this year will be nothing but a distant memory come next February.
