Injury Impact Report

Denver Broncos Injury Impact: 5

The Broncos are missing several key players on offense and defense. At offensive tackle, James’ absence has hurt the Broncos and their ability to effectively throw the ball.

But more importantly, two of the Broncos’ best defensive players, Johnson and Miller, are questionable for the game. The uncertainty revolving around these two important players leaves the Broncos’ injury report in a similarly uncertain place.

Los Angeles Chargers Injury Impact: 5

The Chargers have many important players that have been injured but could potentially return in part or full this week.

The return of Okung and Tevi could stabilize the passing game by giving Philip Rivers more security as he stands in the pocket to throw. James and Phillips could be able to revolutionize the Chargers’ secondary in one week, by significantly freeing Bradley to run more blitzes with larger zones in coverage. However, it is also possible that either or both players may be on snap counts in their first game back.

However, each of the Chargers’ tackles are questionable for this week’s game. Thus, the Chargers still have a relatively high injury impact for this critical matchup against the Broncos.
