Chargers bold predictions: Continued

Both teams will combine for over 50 points.

It’s preseason, where most games are low-scoring affairs. But preseason is also the time where absolutely anything can happen. Should this be a regular season game, most would expect scoring to be kept in check with the quality of both defenses. In this preseason game, offensive players will be aggressive in their fight to secure a roster spot.

Last time, Taylor would have gone two-for-two on touchdown drives if Ekeler had not fumbled the ball so close to the goal line. With Stick scoring later in the game, the Chargers would not only have scored 21 points but won the game as well.

The Chargers-Cardinals game featured just 30 total points; the last time the Chargers and Saints met, 43 points were scored, though 36 of those came from the Saints. This time, both teams have multiple backup quarterbacks who can move an offense, and 50 total points could very well be seen today.
