For many sports fans, NFL Wild Card weekend is the most exciting weekend in all of professional sports.

The Los Angeles Chargers will head to M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday, looking for a different result than the last time they faced the Baltimore Ravens.

Though the two teams have never squared off in the playoffs, the Chargers will be playing in a Wild Card game for the eighth time in team history. They bring a 5-2 record in those games into Baltimore.

Though they will be the underdog, that won’t bother this team, as they have won games as the underdog in this round in the past and have done as much on multiple occasions this season.

Here, I am going to dive into those five wins in the team’s Wild Card history and discuss which three were the best. Which Wild Card wins were the most impressive? Whether it be due to margin of victory, pulling off a major upset or just an overall terrific team performance, everything from each of these games will be considered.

The fact that in their long and storied history, the Chargers have played in just seven Wild Card games shows just how difficult it is to reach the playoffs at all. Of course, there have been several occasions in which the Chargers were able to skip the Wild Card round altogether due to having a bye.

They came awfully close to obtaining one of those this year, but instead, they’ll have to hope that the next time a list like this rolls out, a win over the Ravens makes the cut.
