The latest report from Adam Schefter says that Los Angeles Chargers DE Joey Bosa is not close to returning.

The latest report out on Joey Bosa is not so encouraging as the previous reports. Adam Schefter is now reporting that Joey is nowhere close to ready to playing football. I have said many times that we need to wait to see Joey practice. That will tell us the whole story. That will tell us if he is close to getting to the field.

Everyone wants to make their predictions, even Joey’s dad, but the best prediction will be based on when he hits the practice field. He has not been with the team for the last couple of weeks as they were on the road in Cleveland practicing and they played in London. The team has been on BYE this week and we will see what he does when the team comes back to practice.

Since he has not even stepped on the practice field with the team, I still would expect him to get up to game shape. I don’t think it will take long for Joey to get up to speed, but we do need to see him get practice in. Until then, I don’t know when we can expect to see him.

Will he be there for Seattle? It doesn’t seem like it. Will he be there this season? That is the bigger question! At this point, the foot has kept him off the field and he has not been able to get any reps. I feel like it should be soon for him though. We got Travis Benjamin back on the field from his foot injury and Joey likely is a few weeks away… but let’s just wait to see him hit the practice field.
