We didn’t have an open thread last week and I will take the blame on it all! I dropped the ball just like Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams. Does anyone remember those receivers? They used to be playmakers for us! They have been absent for the last few weeks and Philip Rivers is still setting the world on fire without them making much noise at all.

I know Travis has been sitting on the sideline with an injury and will get his opportunities when he gets back, but he lost his starting role while he was sitting out.

This week we get another NFC West opponent and we did luck out because we don’t have to face Jimmy Goroppolo. Will we get a Chase Daniel type performance or will we get a Nathan Peterman type look from CJ Beathard? I bet there is a ton of us that are nervous about this game.

If you were wondering, CJ is the grandson of one of our former General Managers, Bobby Beathard. I remember Bobby trading first round picks multiple times because he was in love with 2nd round players! They were really 5th round players but someone got in his ear and he had to pull triggers on trades in order to get these guys.

What are you guys expecting from the Chargers in this game?

I expect Philip Rivers to continue to set the world on fire on offense as he has been. He has been low key amazing in the first 3 weeks of the season and nobody is giving him love because his record is at 1-2 right now. He is the only reason why we have been in any of these games.

The running backs will continue to do their thing this week. These backs have been killing it. Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler have been amazing.

I expect the defense to have a decent game this time around. They still will give up a big play here and there, but I expect them to force a few more turnovers this time around. They have been giving up a ton of chunks this year, but they still have been forcing turnovers. They will do it again this time and expecting a run back for a score this time around.

Tell me your predictions on the game.
