The Los Angeles Chargers may be without their start DE Joey Bosa to start out the season.

The Chargers may be without Joey Bosa to start out the season. He has been limited in practice and has been slowly progressing throughout the preseason with a foot injury. If he sits out, that would put more pressure on Melvin Ingram to get after the quarterback and that will allow the Chiefs to put all their focus toward him.

If Bosa is going to sit out on Sunday, someone is going to have to step up. It could be rookie Ochenna Nwosu that makes some plays with Bosa out.

We will keep our eyes close to the injury report to see what Bosa is doing on the field. I would love to open up the season at full strength, but Bosa has this foot issue that has been lingering.

Anthony Lynn said Joey Bosa (foot) will again be limited today. “He’ll be ready when he’s ready,” Lynn said. “There’s a possibility he won’t be with us [vs Chiefs].” #chargers

Could it be a smokescreen? Could Lynn just be putting fake news out there so that Andy Reid and the boys don’t know what to expect going into the opener?

I just want this team at full strength and tearing a new one into the Kansas City Chiefs. I just want this team hitting it on all cylinders right from the gun. It would suck to be out there without Bosa.

If Bosa is to sit out, the team has Isaac Rochell listed as the next man up. Chris Landrum would also see some time at defensive end. This defense looks a lot different without Bosa on the field. We will just hope that Bosa can get on the field soon and that he will be able to stay healthy for the whole season. I don’t want to test out this depth chart right at the beginning of the year.
