GIVE BO THE BALL!!!

In celebration of ALL CAPS week we feature an article on the Chargers all caps player – BO.

At the beginning of the year Mediocre McCoy told us that he would use a running back by committee approach to the running game.  What a PILE OF SHIT.  There is no %$*! committee. This is the Melvin Gordon show for better or for worse.  It feels like MM & TT want to justify this pick and will cram the #1 pick into the depleted O-line until it works.  The committee has become … Melvin Gordon for when we are obviously running it and Danny Woodhead for everything else.

Where does that leave Branden Oliver?

Remember that guy.  The UDFA who shocked us all in week 5 when he took over for Donald Brown and had 19 carries for 114 yards and 1 rushing touchdown and 4 receptions for 68 yards and a receiving touchdown against the New York Jets, who had the number one rushing defense in the league coming into the game. And he won rookie of the week that week.  I DONT KNOW WHERE THIS GUY IS NOW. CAN WE TRADE FOR THIS GUY OR SOMETHING, HOW CAN WE GET HIM ON OUR TEAM!

Maybe you don’t remember that game.  But maybe you remember his week 6 game when he accounted for 124 yards from scrimmage on 30 total touches.  He ran 26 times for 101 yards while catching four passes for 23. He became the first Chargers rookie to record back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2001. SERIOUSLY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!  *&#$!!  *%^$@*!! HOW THE *@#^$$ DO WE GET THIS GUY THE BALL?

How about a little perspective.

Gordan’s numbers through 6 games…6 games, 6 starts78 carries, 299 yards, 3.8 average, long 27, TDs 0fumbles 4, fum lost 313 receptions, 86 yards, 6.6 average, long 18, TDs 0

Oliver’s 2014 numbers…14 games, 7 starts160 carries, 582 yards, 3.6 average, long 52, TDs 3fumbles 036 receptions, 271 yards, 7.5 average, long 50, TDs 1

Oliver’s number for week 5, 6 and 7 of 2014…60 carries, 282 yards, 4.7 average, long 52, TDs 210 receptions 102 yards, 10.2 average, long 50, TDs 1

Yep. OLIVER had BETTER numbers in 3 GAMES in 2014 than GORDAN had in 6 GAMES this year.

Looking at the other stats you will see that they are about the same except for 3 things:Oliver scores touchdowns.Oliver does not fumble.Oliver has more explosive plays.

GIVE BO THE BALL!

I have said this all along.  This guy has a nose for the end zone.  Remember how LT had a nose for the endzone?  OLIVER HAS IT TOO! NOW GIVE HIM THE #(%&#(*!! BALL IN THE REDZONE.

Also, Oliver is more versatile than Gordon, almost as versatile as Woodhead.

SO, GIVE BO THE BALL!

In conclusion we have learned a few things.

1. If you play well for the Chargers you get rewarded by being a special teams player.2. MM & TT are STUPID.3. WE SHOULD GIVE BO THE BALL.

Now am I saying that Oliver should start?  No.  Am I saying he should get the most carries. Not really, but maybe a split. If its going to be a committee, LET’S MAKE IT A @#$$*&! COMMITTEE AND GIVE BO THE BALL!
