Predicting the Chargers 53 Man Roster

Is it too early to be predicting the Chargers roster? Maybe, but what else are we going to do while waiting for training camp to start? Plus it gives us a good look at where we are going. There are 3 obvious spots on the team that are wide open. I plugged Michael Huey into that 8th lineman spot, but that is purely a guess. I am guessing that the Chargers will carry 5 ILBs and 5 safeties, but I haven’t a clue who will fill those 5th spots

Oh, and I booted Donald Brown.

The offense looks set. It will be interesting to see how the addition of Gordon, Franklin and Stevie Johnson play out. Those guys have me excited about the offense. The most worrisome spot for the Chargers offense is center and guard. I think we are all hoping that either Watt or Robison will step up and play well at center and somebody will step up their game in the right guard spot.

The Chargers defense looks young and full of potential. Telesco said in an interview a couple of weeks back that it was time for some of the young defensive players to take that next step. I hope this is the year they do that, and stay healthy.

The D-Line quality is suspect, but I think Darius Philon is going to be a great player. If Reyes does not perform Mathews or Philon will be in his spot. I absolutely love the Perryman addition. Butler and Teo better show up to play or one of those guys might be riding the pine.

It will be interesting to see who fills those open spots and ILB and Safety.

Here is the list…. when does training camp start?
