What’s good BoltHeads! In tonight’s Fan Perspective I had a chance to talk with the very confident and funny David Frerker.  Don’t let his funny side fool you.  He’ll be the first to tell you that he works very hard.  The one thing that stands out to me is that he and I differ on a few things.  He and I strongly disagree on the selection of Ladarius Green.  Although I didn’t want Michael Turner to leave for Atlanta as a free agent, I strongly disagree that L.T. was done at the time in question.  His favorite Chargers moment is of a play made by a guy that doesn’t even know all of his children’s names.  Ah, kids these days.

BUT, that is why I love these Fan Perspective interviews.  As BoltFans, we all have our own take.  David is only 21 years old and obviously doing a lot of things the right way.  If he wasn’t he would not be the editor of Surf the Spear.  He even liked the idea of Fan Perspective so much that he started doing “Fan Feature” on the Fansided SDSU site.  Grab a cold one and peep this out!BoogaP:  Give the fans a little background info about you.

David: David Frerker. 21. San Diego. I am majoring in Journalism and Social Media at San Diego State. I am the Senior Writer and Main Editor of FanSided’s San Diego State Site (Surf The Spear).BoogaP:   What is it like to be a Senior Editor for a San Diego St. based site?

David: It’s a lot of fun. Yet it is challenging at the same time. I was brought on to revive the site. I now have a team of 10 writers including me. I have set up 8 social media sites, twitter, Facebook, youtube, google + tumblr, etc. We make our own videos. We also make our own Podcasts.BoogaP:  If you could take back one player personnel move that the Bolts have made what would it be?

David: Michael The Burner Turner. LT was going down hill at that moment, why keep him, when you know how good of a running back he was to become.BoogaP:   What was your initial thought when Norv and AJ were both brought back? Lots of people were not so pleased.

David: I was mad when Norv was brought back. Since me and AJ are fraternity brothers, I was overjoyed to hear he would be returning.

BoogaP:  Who is your favorite player now and also your favorite player of all time?

David: Favorite player now is Vincent Brown because he is an Aztec. Favorite player of all time, Junior Seau.BoogaP:  If you were to grade the Chargers draft, what grade would you give it and why?

David: I would give us an A- on the draft. The Bolts could have drafted a Wide Receiver early on in the draft. There was a major stock pile of defensive players in this year’s draft. I was mad that the Bolts selected the TE out of Louisiana Lafayette. I was hoping the Bolts would have drafted our TE out of San Diego State in next year’s draft.BoogaP:  If you could speak to any Bolt player in person who would it be and what would you say?

David: I would want to talk to Phillip Rivers and ask him when he’s going to attend an SDSU basketball game.BoogaP:  Who is your favorite Aztec of all-time?

David: John Madden for creating the best football game in the history of game systems. I’m just kidding. Tony Gwynn is my favorite Aztec of all-time. Ton is the reason I attend San Diego State. As a child in a catholic school, while in first grade, we were suppose to be writing a paper for our religion class, I was busy writing Tony a letter.BoogaP:  Have you ever been to a Bolts game at the Murph?

David: Yes J-E-T-S suck, suck, suck. I went to a Jet’s game as a boy scout, selling news papers. I hate going to Qualcomm. I don’t like the traffic, rather have a game day party and watch the game on the plasma.BoogaP:  If you had to pick out your favorite Bolt moment of all-time what would it be?

David: Antonio Cromartie’s 109 Yard field goal return for a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

BoogaP:  Can you provide the BoltHeads with a link to your site? Tell us why we should check it out?David: Why should you check out Surf The Spear?  Because I work harder than anyone out there to bring the most updated and most accurate news. I will hold off on posting a story until I know everything is correct, I contact sources to make sure the product being released is accurate. Yes, I am only 21 and have taken off. I have created facebook pages that have grown to 1,400 members, I was a weekly guest on ESPN Radio San Diego for 6 months. I sleep about 4 hours a day, so I can keep the website as updated as possible. http://surfthespear.com/ <http://surfthespear.com/> or you can go to Bolt Beat and Click on City and go to SDSU.BoogaP:  Do u have a prediction for the Bolts season this year? I have predicted them to win it all!! What say u?!?!David: 14-2 Losses against Steelers and Saints17-2 Chargers Super Bowl Champs vs. NY GiantsBoogaP:  And lastly, how often do you visit BoltBeat.com? I ask EVERYONE this! Lol

David: I visit Bolt beat about two times a day, once in the morning and once at night.

Well, there you have it.  David is an obvious San Diego State freak! Having tweeted with him I can also confirm that he loves the Chargers.  David is a  humorous guy that really enjoys doing his best to give all Aztec Fans the best information in the business.

Thanks a lot for reading.
