Chargers Playoff Hopes are Still Alive

Amazingly we are down to the last 2 games of the season and we are still breathing. We still have a little bit of life and the team is FIGHTING to keep these hopes alive. It was a HUGE win for our Bolts against the Ravens, but we also got some help around the league. The Jets and the Broncos dropped their games and we also saw the Raiders and Titans lose. It was a pretty good weekend for our boys.

The Broncos got murked by the Patriots. Tom Terrific was able to put up a ton of points on them and keep the game out of striking distance in the 4th quarter. The Broncos have the Bills and Chiefs still left on their schedule and we need them to lose both of those games for us to win the AFC West. The Bills have been playing bad, but the Broncos have to travel out to their town. Hopefully Ryan Fitzpatrick can play like he did to start out the season. And the Chiefs just pulled off an upset against the undefeated Packers. Kyle Orton would get a chance to ruin the playoff hopes of the Broncos with a win. We could actually get the help we needed from these teams.

For our wild card hopes, we need to finish with a better record than the Jets. That means that the Jets need to lose their final 2 games this season. They have the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins left on their schedule. The Giants have been a roller coaster team this year. Could they be on the upswing this weekend? We sure hope so. The Dolphins have been playing a lot better to end this season and they will make it a tough game if it comes down to it.

If the Jets lose all those games, THEN we would need the Bengals to lose at least one more game. They have the Cardinals and the Ravens to end out the season. The Cardinals have been playing better and we would LOVE to get their help this weekend. The Ravens might be resting some of their key players in that final game, so we would love the Cardinals to stop the Bengals this week. Need these dominoes to drop!

These scenarios all would be awesome, but we need to make sure that we take care of our own business. We have two tough teams to finish out the season and both games are on the road. We have to beat the Lions and the Raiders to close it out. It won’t be easy, but it is what we have to do to get it done.

We still have a fighting chance and I will still believe!
