Week 2 Picks

facebooktwitterreddit

Week 2 of football action and there was all kinds of madness and a few upsets to start out the season. I had a pretty good week at selecting the games for last week, but one person in the Pick’em Pool did have a better week than I did. I have to give a SHOUT OUT to NERVTERNER for picking 13 of the 16 games correctly. If the Broncos would have just pulled out that UGLY game, I would be on top of the leader board.

Let’s see if I can claim the top spot this week among all you fans and pass up nervterner. If you have not yet joined our ESPN Pigskin Pick’em group, just click on the link and jump in! Show us what you got!

Here are my picks for week 2:

Raiders vs BillsI have to go with the home team again against the Raiders.  Last week I was burned by the Denver Broncos selection, but hopefully the Bill can help us out by beating down another AFC West opponent.

Bears vs SaintsDrew Brees and company will be too much for Jay Cutler and the Bears. Saints pick up their first win at home.

Browns vs ColtsColts can’t be as bad as the performance they showed in week 1, right? The Browns had an even worse performance though, losing to the Bengals. Old Man Collins picks up his first win as a Colt.

Chiefs vs LionsThe Chiefs are TERRIBLE this year and the Lions should steamroll through them!

Packers vs PanthersCam Newton won’t be able to torch the Packers like he did to Arizona. Rodgers and that Packer offense will still continue to roll!

Ravens vs TitansRavens will continue their stampede through Tennessee. Can Ravens stampede?

Buccaneers vs VikingsDonovan McNabb can’t possibly play that poorly again. They should pick up their first win on Sunday.

Jaguars vs JetsI was wrong about the Jags last week, but I don’t think they will be able to prove me wrong twice in a row. Jets this week.

Cardinals vs RedskinsSexy Rexy and the Redskins are kinda decent this year. I expect them to defend their home turf in this one.

Seahawks vs Steelers Steelers come back and take revenge out on Seattle

Cowboys vs 49ersTony Romo learned his lesson and will protect that football. OK, he will probably not, but they still will beat San Fran.

Bengals vs BroncosKyle Orton shuts his home crowd up and makes the fans chant “OR-TON”

Texans vs DolphinsTime for the Texans to have their letdown after such a great performance

Chargers vs PatriotsI will never pick against our Bolts even when I know better!!!

Eagles vs FalconsMatt Ryan is a different quarterback at home. They outscore the Eagles in this one.

Rams vs GiantsTerrible Monday Night Game and Eli will bring his team their first victory this season.
