Party with opposing team after BIG loss? Chargers Responses included

There are some rumors floating around that some Miami Heat players were out partying at the club with the Dallas Mavericks the night the lost the championship. What is everyone’s thoughts on this?

I have heard people say that it is good sportsmanship and there is nothing wrong with it. Players have friends all over the league and they should be able to celebrate with their fiends and I am sure that they are happy for the them.

My opinion: No way EVER should you be celebrating with the opposing team after a loss of that magnitude. You may have friends on the other squad, but you congratulate them with a hand shake and a "good game" and that is good sportsmanship, but you don't go to an event that is an after party celebrating a championship that you just lost! You play to win the game and after a loss like that, go hang out and party it up elsewhere.

After the Bolts lost the Super Bowl to the San Francisco 49ers, I would not want to see Junior Seau and Stan Humphries out at the parade in San Francisco. I would not want to see them out kickin' it with Steve Young and Jerry Rice partying it up on the night we just lost. It is just wrong!

I asked a few Bolts through twitter if they would party it up with the opposite team (even if you had friends on that team) and Dante Hughes hit me back with this:

@epadaon definitely not. Too much pride. Plus i hate losing to bad.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet ReplyDante HughesRealLifeDH

Antonio Garay responded with this:

Convince me otherwise, but I just don't see how this makes any sense to party it up with the opposition at their Championship celebration!
