CBs that the Chargers should consider signing: 3. J.C. Jackson

J.C. Jackson has to be grateful for playing for the New England Patriots. In four full years, the lockdown corner was able to pick the brain of the greatest coach in NFL history. And, as a result, Jackson has gotten better and better over the years. This season was unsurprisingly his best.

By the time Jackson’s fourth year in the league wrapped up, he was easily one of the best corners around. Quarterbacks either hesitated or stopped throwing the ball to his side of the field altogether as he registered eight interceptions and defended a league-high 23 passes, on his way to his first Pro Bowl nod.

But while Jackson was phenomenal, the Patriots have a history of not paying their players. Meaning, Jackson will be looking for work elsewhere more than likely. Before Bill Belichick comes to his senses, the Chargers should be in front of his door with a multi-million dollar contract waiting for his signature.

With the addition of Jackson, he’ll immediately become the Chargers number one corner. The offensive side of the ball for the LA based team is in good hands with quarterback Justin Herbert slinging the rock but Jackson can turn this squad from a fringe playoff club to a Super Bowl threat.
