Chargers No. 2 on defense: Drue Tranquill
Drue Tranquill has been the biggest breakout player on the entire roster this season. Kyzir White benefitted from a huge breakout year in 2021 and in 2022 it was Tranquill, who has arguably been even better than White was last year.
It came at a perfect time for Tranquill as well as he is in a contract year. White still did not command a big pay day in free agency and Tranquill might not either considering linebacker is undervalued as a position. Fans just have to hope the Chargers don't make the same mistake they made with White.
Chargers No. 2 on offense: Austin Ekeler
Austin Ekeler is an endzone finder. Period. No player in the entire sport has had more touchdowns over the last two years. It is hard to imagine where the Chargers' red zone offense would be without Ekeler as he has been the main component to finding the endzone for six.
Austin Ekeler should have been a Pro Bowl starter instead of a reserve as he continues to be the most overlooked running back in the sport (which is odd considering his fantasy football impact). It is hard to rank anyone other than you-know-who at no.1 on offense over Ekeler.
