Ranking the available free agent wide receivers for Chargers in 2023

2. Justin Watson
Justin Watson is a two-time Super Bowl Champion as he was a member of both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Watson didn't contribute all that much but he did have the best year of his professional career, finishing with 15 receptions for 315 yards and two touchdowns.
Chargers fans are all too familiar with Watson, as he was the one who connected with Patrick Mahomes on a huge touchdown against the Bolts in Week 2 that swung the game.

Despite being a two-time Super Bowl Champion and posting the best year of his professional career, Watson still is not going to get an expensive deal. A one-year, $2.5 million contract appears to be the ceiling for the former Penn State receiver and the Bolts could make that work.
If the Chargers are giving up on Jalen Guyton then Watson makes sense as a potential replacement. He is someone who has shown he can help open up the top of the defense and while he is not quite as fast as Guyton, he still has speed.
Watson reportedly ran a 4.42 40-yard dash in front of scouts before coming into the league, although that has not been officially confirmed.
