4. TE Erik Krommenhoek
It is time for the LA Chargers to trim down the tight end room. The top three at the position have always been set in stone with the trio of Gerald Everett, Donald Parham and Tre' McKitty. You could have made the case for the Bolts to only run those three tight ends on the roster but it is more likely now that the team carries a fourth.
There are quite a few tight ends that are battling for that fourth tight end spot. However, with limited roster spots, it is time to take at least one of those options out of the equation and Erik Krommenhoek is simply the odd man out.
The UDFA signing from UCLA has not really done all that much to impress during training camp or the preseason thus far. Sure, he has gotten some targets in these preseason games but he really has not had any moments like the other tight ends fighting for a roster spot.
The Chargers currently have seven tight ends on the roster if we are counting Sage Surratt as a tight end, which is simply too much. As it stands right now, Hunter Kampmoyer is probably the favorite for the fourth roster spot but anything could happen.
