LA Chargers: The great, good and ugly in Week 3 win over Kansas City Chiefs

The ugly from the LA Chargers Week 3 win:
Run defense still struggled
The LA Chargers were without Chris Harris Jr. and Justin Jones for the second consecutive week and you could tell. Jones helps shore up the run defense in the middle of the defensive line while Harris is the best run-defending cornerback on the team.
The Bolts struggled last week against the Dallas Cowboys and the struggles extended to this game as well. The Chiefs ran for over 200 yards, including a big showing for Patrick Mahomes scrambling with the football.
That is different than the regular run game but it is something the team has to figure out and figure out fast, especially with Lamar Jackson on the schedule in three weeks.
The illegal shift penalties
The LA Chargers have had multiple touchdowns taken off the board this season because of illegal shifts and we are only three weeks into the season. While the overall penalties were better in this game, the Bolts have to figure this aspect of the game out.
They got away with it in this one but it did take the go-ahead touchdown off the board, resulting in a game-tying field goal instead. The Bolts ultimately got the job done but if they didn't, this would have been a much bigger storyline after the game.
