3. The game comes down to the LA Chargers kicking game
As promising as it is for the LA Chargers to score multiple touchdowns and while the matchups still look good for the Bolts, the fact of the matter is that this is likely going to be a shootout.
Division games are always close, particularly against the Chiefs. I would not expect this game to be any different and at the end of the day, it is going to come down to the kicking game.
The LA Chargers absolutely have to make all of their opportunities in the kicking game. The team has already been bold in going for two-point conversions and that is great but at some point, Tristan Vizcaino is going to have to nail kicks.
The Bolts absolutely cannot afford to leave points on the board against Kansas City and all it takes is a missed 48-yard field goal to give the Chiefs a shorter field to go down a score, swinging the game entirely.
If I had to bet, I would bet that the Chargers will get the ball down three or tied with around two minutes left to play. It will be up to Justin Herbert to drive the offense down the field and at some point they are going to need the leg of Vizcaino to come through. That is just how these games go.
