The bad from the LA Chargers Week 2 loss:

Special teams:

You could make the case for this being in the ugly category but there are more things to get to, so it belongs in the bad category. Special teams was not good today and it did cost the team.

Most notably was Tristan Vizcaino's missed field goal in the second quarter. Vizcaino doinked it off the upright for his only missed kick of a game which did have a lasting impact on the result itself.

The Chargers left three points on the board and lost by three.

The last defensive drive

The narrative heading into the season was that the LA Chargers would be a much-improved defensive with Brandon Staley calling the shots. While the defense has been better, it has been far from perfect.

Staley stressed the importance of putting together a long drive to close the team's Week 1 win against the Washington Football Team and this week the Dallas Cowboys did the same thing to the Chargers.

The Cowboys did have some odd clock management at the end of the game to make Greg Zuerlein's life harder but it ultimately did not matter. They did their job in not even giving the Chargers a chance to tie or take the lead.
