The LA Chargers are looking to add plenty of reinforcements this offseason as the team prepares to take a leap in the second season of the Brandon Staley-Justin Herbert partnership. With ample cap space and 11 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Chargers should be able to add just what they need to improve from last season.
Adding help is not the only part of the equation, though. As is the truth with every NFL team, the Chargers are going to need some internal improvements as well. Players evolving and getting better is what makes a well-rounded roster. Last year, it was the likes of Kyzir White and Nasir Adderley who took a jump for the Bolts.
Keep an eye out for the LA Chargers sophomore class in 2020 as the breakout candidates.
Brandon Staley's first draft as the head coach of the Chargers was exponentially better than the previous two years (minus Justin Herbert, of course) as there is a lot of potential in the 2021 class. While fans are all speculating on who the team might add to the roster this offseason they are forgetting about the players who are going to step up and essentially act like new additions. Here are three second-year players who are poised for a big year in 2022.
