1. New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints make perfect sense for Tyron Johnson and they have to be considered the favorites to bring in the young receiver. This is a team that could use some receiving help and Johnson would provide just that.
Michael Thomas was just put on the PUP list, keeping him out for the first six weeks of the NFL season. The receiver depth is going to be tested as Marquez Callaway has been touted as this incredible sleeper at receiver.
However, he is still unproven and the depth behind him is not great, either. The Saints really needed receiver help in the offseason and could not go out and get it because of their cap situation. With starting tight end Adam Trautman missing the first few weeks of the season, Jameis Winston is in trouble.
Johnson would give the team a deep-ball option for Winston to throw to. Johnson is actually a slight step ahead as well as the new offense implemented with the LA Chargers by Joe Lombardi is based on the offense that Sean Payton runs in New Orleans.
It won't be a perfect match, but Johnson already has a head start in that department, which would accelerate his growth potential in New Orleans.
