Tight ends/Fullback: Jared Cook, Donald Parham Jr., Tre McKitty, Stephen Anderson, Gabe Nabers (5)
Jared Cook comes into the 2021 season as the new TE1 after the team lost Hunter Henry to the Patriots in free agency. His previous relationships with not just Joe Lombardi, but also offensive line coach Frank Smith, pretty much brought him here. I expect him to be a solid, cost-effective option in 2021.
Donald Parham vs. Stephen Anderson could be where a roster spot is decided. Personally, I see them both making the team though. Anderson has been used in a lot of critical passing play formations like mesh to this point. Parham is a 6'8" monster who has also looked great in camp. Rookie Tre' McKitty was drafted to be a blocking tight end late on Day 2 of the draft and there's obviously no way he's being cut.
Gabe Nabers gets a roster spot currently as well. The team never brought in a fullback to compete with him in the preseason like they did with Bobby Holly last season. Interestingly, he's been a part of more passing plays in training camp this offseason.
Much like the running backs, I wouldn't be shocked to see the team goes with three tight ends instead of four. In terms of how they're all used though, the decision to keep four tight ends gives the team more options and versatility than keeping four running backs.
