10. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
This is the part of the article when any Falcons fan reading this throws their keyboard at the screen. These rankings are about quarterbacks in 2022, not about career accolades and Trevor Lawrence should absolutely rank ahead of Matt Ryan.
If we want to talk about bad situations we should look no further than Trevor Lawrence, who had very little talent around him (less than Ryan) last season, had a bad offensive line and had perhaps the worst head coach in NFL history.
Yes, his numbers are not as good as some of the other rookies and he led the league in interceptions. His arrow is still pointing up and I would take him as the quarterback of my franchise any day over Ryan or anyone else ranked below him.
9. Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans
Ryan Tannehill is another guy who could fall on this list in 2022 as he seems to be on his way to the Matt Ryan regression. Tannehill stunk in the playoffs against the Cincinnati Bengals and showed that these huge numbers he was putting up were not so easy without Derrick Henry.
Tannehill was a consensus top-10 quarterback in the league heading into the 2021 season with how he played in 2020 but now, he barely cracks the top-10 in the AFC alone.
