The 2021 season is just weeks away and we have reached our last positional ranking piece for the AFC. Today, we look at an area that the LA Chargers have a superstar in: edge rushers.

Whether it is as defensive linemen coming off the edge of a 4-3 defense or outside linebackers, which Joey Bosa is transitioning into in a 3-4 defense, Bosa is the best edge rusher in the division.

However, is he alone enough to ensure that the Chargers get the spot in the AFC West rankings?

Ranking the edge rushers in the AFC West:

4. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders rank fourth in the AFC West at the edge rusher position but that does not mean that the team is bad at the position. In fact, if everything goes right then the Raiders could have a pretty solid edge-rushing duo in the league.

Yannick Ngakoue is someone with a relatively high ceiling that has not been playing up to his ceiling in recent years. Ngakoue is a former Pro Bowler and is only 26 years old, so he certainly can regain that prime form.

It is not a guarantee, but Ngakoue can be the vest version of himself then the Raiders will have a well-above-average edge rusher. Then there is Clelin Ferrell, who has potential as well.

Ferrell was taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and while the Raiders reached for him, he does have potential. He has not been that great through his first two seasons and Gus Bradley is going to hope for him to blossom in year three.

If both of those players hit their potential ceilings then that is a good tandem. However, that is far from a guarantee.
