10. Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts missed the playoffs last year because of Carson Wentz and they shifted to Matt Ryan as a result. While Ryan is a former MVP and has definitely had a better career, at this point, I am not sure that Ryan is much of an upgrade from Wentz.
The Colts should be able to make the playoffs in the super-thin AFC South, which probably won't send a wild-card playoff team in 2022. Ryan will be good enough to manage his way to a playoff berth but even with a really talented defense, it is hard to see Ryan and a lack of passing weapons on the Colts beat anyone in the playoffs.
9. Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson does not get the respect he deserves as a quarterback. While there is a natural ceiling with the style of quarterback he is, he is still a former MVP that has made the Ravens one of the hardest teams to beat in the regular season when he is healthy.
The problem is that with his playstyle injuries are frequent and when the Ravens need Lamar to win by throwing the ball he is not always the most consistent. However, at his best, Lamar can still beat any team or quarterback in the league.
The Ravens may have finished with an 8-9 record but they had some bad luck late in games. A few small changes and they could have been an 11-6 team that made the playoffs and who knows how we would be talking about them now.
