Washington Football Team 26, Denver Broncos 20

The Denver Broncos started the season with a 3-0 record and have done nothing but lose since... literally. The Broncos have lost four games in a row and it really has not been pretty in any of the games. Denver had a chance to right the ship against a depleted Cleveland Browns team and simply could not do it.

This week presents another winnable game for the Broncos against the Washington Football Team and while this game is in Denver I have to go against the Broncos. From what I have seen the last month the Broncos are more likely to pick in the top 10 than to compete for a playoff spot and that means they will lose games like this.

The Denver defense is not as good as advertised, although Washington is far from an explosive offensive team. That being said, Taylor Heinicke can make plays happen with his legs and the Broncos made Big Ben look good.

Washington's defense has been exposed this season as the front four is good but the secondary is poor. Washington succeed against bad quarterbacks in 2020 and what do you know: they are coming up against a team that does not have a great quarterback.

Washington gets pressure on Teddy Bridgewater early and often and this looks much more like the defense that we all highly touted last season. The Broncos will move to 3-5, and quite frankly, remove themselves completely from the division race with a loss.
