1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in football and the only way that they can be knocked off this pedestal is if the LA Chargers go into Arrowhead in Week 3 and beat the Chiefs by 10+ points. Even a close win for the Chargers, albeit awesome, would not be enough for them to definitively take over the Chiefs.
Kansas City did what it always does on Sunday and beat a solid team at home. Arrowhead is one of the toughest places to play in the entire league and we saw that transpire in this one.
The Cleveland Browns played nearly as good of a game that they could have played and still came up short. Pundits are talking about Baker Mayfield's inability to drive down in the field in the last two drives of the game and that is unfair to Baker.
Obviously, you want to see your QB drive down there but he played well all game and the biggest play was the botched punt (which was the first punt Cleveland had) that resulted in the Chiefs taking a short field and scoring.
Kansas City always seems to get the biggest breaks in all of its games and that is a testament to how talented they are. Sure, they were lucky because of that punt, but it is the tension of playing them in front of their home crowd that causes a mistake like that to happen.
The Chiefs have what seems to be a marquee game this week that could turn ugly if the same Baltimore team that showed up on Monday shows up on Sunday.
Week 2 opponent: Baltimore Ravens
